How To Add Section To Assembly Drawing in Autodesk Advance Steel

Autodesk Advance Steel is a 3D modeling software used for steel detailing and fabrication.

Add Section To Assembly Drawing


• To add a section to an assembly drawing, open the assembly drawing in Advance Steel and go to the "Drawing" tab.
• Select "Section" from the ribbon at the top of the screen which will bring up a dialog box where you can choose your desired type of section.
• Specify the section plane by clicking on points in or entering coordinates into this dialog box, then select objects for inclusion in your view.
• Set line style, color and scale before previewing it; once satisfied with how it looks click “OK” to add it to your drawing area where you can adjust its position as needed.
